Winter diesel cylinder cracking
When the temperature is low in winter, the cylinder head of the diesel engine is prone to crack and leak. The main reasons are as follows:
1, only after starting with cooling water. When the diesel engine is started, the temperature in the engine is raised immediately. If the cooling water is added at this time, the cylinder body and the cylinder head are cooled rapidly, and the cracks will be caused by cold contraction.
2 、 no cooling water after shutdown. The inner water is frozen into ice, and the volume increases, and the cylinder block and the cylinder head are cracked.
3, when the diesel engine running, the cooling water is insufficient or boil water tank machine temperature is too high, sudden cooling water. Excessive shrinkage of the cylinder body and cylinder head also causes cracking.
4, diesel captain time operation, high temperature inside the machine, immediately after the release of high temperature water. Will cause high temperature parts to burst into air and crack.
5, use pressure reducing machine stop, make the high temperature cylinder head suddenly encounter cold air and cause cracking.
To prevent cracking of various cylinder bodies and cylinder covers, the following methods are used:
1, before starting the diesel engine, should first add hot water to the water tank, winter season should be hot water 2~3 times, to be discharged water valve about 30~50 degrees C, starting is better.
2, diesel engine running time is long, should stop for about half an hour, machine temperature dropped to 40~50 degrees, and then put cooling water. After the water is finished, it is better to use a fine wire to poke through the drain valve switch to prevent the sediment from clogging the drain valve.
3, the diesel engine running overheating, serious water shortage, should let the diesel engine low-speed idling 10~15 minutes, and then slowly add cooling water.
